Begin Your Adoption Journey
We want your adoption experience to be simple, transparent, and joyful.
To ensure every kitten is placed in a safe, loving, and well-prepared home, all families begin with our pre-approval process before moving forward with adoption.
This step allows us to get to know you, answer your questions, and thoughtfully prepare you for the exciting journey ahead—leading all the way to your kitten’s Gotcha Day.
Our placements follow a guided adoption process designed to support long-term success for both kittens and families.
Rather than a first-come or first-pick system, we take time to understand each kitten’s personality alongside each family’s lifestyle and preferences—so every placement feels confident, intentional, and well-matched.
How It Works
1. Submit the Pre-Approval Form
Share a bit about your home, lifestyle, experience with pets, and what you’re hoping for in a kitten. This helps us begin understanding whether our program is the right fit for you.
2. Application Review & Follow-Up (24–72 hours)
Every application is reviewed thoughtfully. If we have questions, we’ll reach out by text or phone to connect personally and clarify details.
3. Approval Decision & Phone Conversation
Final approval includes a personal phone call.
This conversation allows us to answer questions, confirm readiness, and ensure expectations are aligned—for both your family and our kittens.
Approved: You’ll be eligible to move forward when a kitten match becomes available.
Not the Right Fit: We’ll explain why and offer guidance or next steps when appropriate.
4. The Approved Family Matching List
The Approved Family Matching List helps us organize approved families while we observe each kitten’s personality, development, and readiness.
Being on this list:
Allows us to keep families informed as kittens grow
Helps guide thoughtful, personality-aligned placement conversations
Ensures placements are made intentionally—not rushed or competitive
This is not a first-come or first-pick system. Placement timing depends on personality alignment, readiness, and what’s best for both the kitten and the family.
How Families Are Added to the Family Matching List
Families are invited to join the Approved Family Matching List after completing the pre-approval process and participating in a personal phone conversation, where readiness, expectations, and compatibility are confirmed.
5. Guided Matching & Reservation
When a potential match emerges, we’ll reach out to discuss the kitten, personality fit, and next steps. Families always have the opportunity to ask questions and share preferences before moving forward.
6. Public Announcements (When Applicable)
Some kittens may be shared publicly once guided placement conversations are complete. Availability varies by litter and individual kitten.

We review every application thoughtfully and respond as promptly as possible while giving each family the attention they deserve.
After You’re Approved
Family Matching List
Once a family is fully approved, they are invited to join our Family Matching List. This allows us to thoughtfully stay connected with approved families as upcoming kittens grow and personalities begin to emerge.
Families on the Family Matching List are encouraged to share their preferences, including traits such as temperament, activity level, gender, color, or markings. These preferences help guide the matching process and are always considered with care.
While preferences are important, placement is not based on order or first pick. Instead, we use a guided, personality-based approach to match each kitten with the home that best supports their individual temperament, development, and long-term success. In some cases, a kitten may not align with a family’s preferences, and we’ll always communicate openly if that’s the case.
There is a $50 Family Matching List fee, which helps support the time, communication, and ongoing evaluation involved in thoughtful placement. This fee is credited toward the total adoption fee if a placement moves forward.
Families on the Family Matching List receive early communication as kittens approach reservation readiness and may be contacted directly when a potential match is identified. When reservations open, clear instructions are provided so families know exactly what to expect and how to proceed.
