The Sapphire Family Lounge is our private space where approved families follow nursery updates, learn about our kittens as they grow, and participate in the thoughtful process of matching each kitten with the family where they will thrive.

The Sapphire Family Lounge Portal is an optional resource created to help approved families stay connected, informed, and supported as our program develops — often before kittens are available.
Participation in the Family Matching Portal is completely optional and not required to adopt from us.
Families who choose to participate gain early insight into our planning process, educational resources, and thoughtful updates, while others may prefer to wait until kittens are available. Both paths are respected equally.
Participation is by invitation following the review and approval of an adoption application.
How the Sapphire Family Lounge Works

Families begin by completing our adoption application so we can learn about their home, lifestyle, and the type of companion they hope to welcome.
2️⃣ Application Review
Once approved, families are invited to join the Sapphire Family Lounge, our private space where future kitten families stay connected as litters develop.
3️⃣ Follow Nursery Updates
Families in the lounge receive early updates about upcoming litters, kitten development, and our planning process.
4️⃣ Kitten Personalities Emerge
As kittens grow, we carefully observe temperament, confidence, energy level, and social preferences.
5️⃣ Thoughtful Matching Begins
When the right time arrives, we begin guided conversations to thoughtfully match each kitten with the family where they will thrive.

The Sapphire Family Lounge offers approved families a supportive space while waiting for their perfect kitten. During this time, families can:

What the Sapphire Family Lounge Is Not
It does not reserve or guarantee a specific kitten.
It does not guarantee placement order
It does not require immediate commitment
All kitten placements remain personality-first, guided by temperament, lifestyle compatibility, and long-term success for both the kitten and the family.
Approved families may remain in the Sapphire Family Lounge for up to 12 months, depending on litter timing and match suitability.
Families are welcome to share preferences for gender, color, or personality traits when preparing for a future kitten. While we carefully consider these preferences, placement ultimately prioritizes temperament compatibility, household fit, and the long-term wellbeing of each kitten.
Families who are open and flexible in their preferences may be matched sooner, while those waiting for a specific color, gender, or personality type may experience a longer wait as we carefully look for the right match.
After 6 months, families may choose to continue waiting or exit the program
If no suitable match occurs within 12 months, families may request a refund
Families are never penalized for choosing the path that feels right for them.

How Matching With Your Kitten Happens
When kittens begin to grow and their personalities start to emerge, we begin the thoughtful process of matching each kitten with the family where they will thrive.
During this time, we carefully observe each kitten’s temperament, energy level, social preferences, and confidence as they interact with their environment and people.
Approved families in the program may be invited into guided conversations where we discuss lifestyle, household dynamics, experience with cats, and the type of companion they are hoping to welcome into their home.
Rather than selecting based only on order or speed, our goal is to thoughtfully match each kitten with the family whose home and lifestyle best align with that kitten’s developing personality.
When the right match is identified, families are contacted to discuss the kitten and decide if it feels like the right fit for them.
This collaborative process helps ensure that every placement is built on compatibility, preparation, and long-term success for both kitten and family.
Refund & Exit Policy
We understand that circumstances can change.
If a family chooses not to wait or decides to pursue a kitten elsewhere before a kitten has been formally matched, they may request a refund of the Sapphire Family Lounge Portal fee.
Once a kitten has been formally offered, accepted, or placed on hold specifically for a family, the fee becomes non-refundable.
Our priority is always mutual respect, transparency, and long-term confidence — never pressure or obligation.

When multiple families are interested in the same kitten, placement is generally offered in the order families joined the Sapphire Family Lounge.
However, we also carefully consider temperament, household dynamics, lifestyle compatibility, and the long-term success of each placement.

Families are always welcome to pass on a kitten and remain in their place for a future match.

In some situations, a short temporary hold may be placed on a kitten while conversations take place to confirm the best match.
Temporary holds are brief, non-binding, and used only to ensure thoughtful, intentional placements — never to create pressure or competition between families.

If a family chooses to pursue a kitten elsewhere before matching begins, they may request removal from the Sapphire Family Lounge. Portal fees are non-refundable, as they support time, communication, education, and planning provided throughout the process.

Because breeding timelines and kitten development vary, there is no guaranteed timeframe for placement.
