Available & Upcoming Ragdoll Kittens
AAA CLASS ACT – Shades of Sapphire Ragdolls is a small, home-based Ragdoll breeder located in Lucas, Ohio, serving families throughout Ohio, including the Columbus, Cleveland, and surrounding areas across Ohio. Our Ragdoll kittens are raised underfoot in our home with a focus on health, temperament, and thoughtful placement. While we may not always have kittens available, we welcome families seeking a reputable Ohio Ragdoll breeder who values transparency, education, and lifelong support.
We raise a limited number of litters each year, and availability may vary throughout the year as we focus on responsible breeding and careful placement of every kitten.
Our program is built on transparency, intentional placement, and lifelong support for both kitten and family.

Current Litters
At AAA CLASS ACT – Shades of Sapphire Ragdolls, we raise only a limited number of litters each year so every kitten receives the attention, socialization, and care they deserve.
Our kittens are raised underfoot in our home in Lucas, Ohio, where they experience daily family life, gentle handling, and early socialization. From the very beginning, we focus on health, temperament, and confidence so each kitten grows into a loving and well-adjusted companion.
Current Nursery Updates
Gidget & Lukas – Born March 5
Gidget welcomed five beautiful kittens in the early hours of March 5. Mom and babies are doing well, and we are closely monitoring their growth and development during these important early weeks.
At this stage the kittens are still very young, and personalities will continue to develop over the coming weeks. As they grow, we will begin observing temperament and social traits to help guide thoughtful placement with the right families.
Nursery updates and photos will be shared as the kittens continue to grow.
Upcoming Litters
In addition to our current nursery, several of our queens have recently been paired with carefully selected males as part of our responsible breeding program.
Each pairing is thoughtfully planned with the goal of preserving the gentle temperament, beauty, and affectionate nature that make the Ragdoll breed so special.
If confirmed, these litters are expected to arrive around early May.
Because we raise only a small number of litters each year, availability is limited and many families begin the adoption process well before kittens are born.
Potential Summer Litters
The following queens have been successfully introduced to their selected males and are currently awaiting pregnancy confirmation:
Queen Miss Jewels
Queen Miss Mae
Queen Miss Buttons
Because we raise only a small number of litters each year, availability is limited and many families begin the adoption process well before kittens are born.
Understanding Availability
Because we raise only a limited number of Ragdoll kittens each year, availability may vary throughout the year.
Some litters may already have families preparing in advance through our Sapphire Family Lounge, while others may occasionally become available publicly if a suitable match has not yet been made.
Our focus is always on responsible breeding and thoughtful placement rather than producing a high number of kittens. This means that at times we may not have kittens immediately available, but families who follow along with our nursery updates can watch each litter grow and learn about upcoming opportunities for placement.
Families who wish to be part of this early process may choose to join our Sapphire Family Lounge, where they receive nursery updates and early placement consideration as kittens develop.
Joining Our Sapphire Family Lounge
Families interested in welcoming a Shades of Sapphire kitten into their home are invited to begin by completing our Adoption Application.
Once approved, families may choose to join our Sapphire Family Lounge — a private space where future kitten families receive nursery updates, early announcements of upcoming litters, and priority consideration when kittens are being placed.
Because we raise only a limited number of litters each year, placement is always based on temperament, compatibility, and the long-term wellbeing of each kitten, rather than strictly first-come, first-served.
Families are welcome to share preferences for gender, color, or personality traits when preparing for a future kitten. While we do our best to consider these preferences, placement ultimately prioritizes temperament compatibility, household fit, and the long-term wellbeing of each kitten.
Families who are open and flexible in their preferences may be matched sooner, while those waiting for a specific color, gender, or personality type may experience a longer wait as we look for the right match.
Our goal is always to ensure that each kitten is placed in the home where they will thrive for a lifetime.
Many of our kittens develop the affectionate “Velcro Ragdoll” personality the breed is known for, but every kitten is unique and personalities continue to develop as they grow.
To support the time involved in providing nursery updates, communication, and placement planning, there is a small Sapphire Family Lounge membership fee. This fee helps ensure that families participating in the lounge are genuinely committed to the adoption process.
When a kitten is placed with a family, the membership fee is credited toward the total adoption price of the kitten.
Families who prefer not to join the Sapphire Family Lounge are always welcome to wait for public availability announcements when kittens are ready to be placed.
Because every kitten and family is unique, membership in the Sapphire Family Lounge does not guarantee a specific kitten, but it allows families to participate in the process as litters develop and placements are thoughtfully made.
How Our Placement Process Works
At Shades of Sapphire Ragdolls, our placement process focuses on matching each kitten with the home where they will thrive.
As kittens grow, we carefully observe their developing personalities, energy levels, and social preferences. These early traits help guide our placement decisions so that each kitten’s temperament aligns well with a family’s lifestyle.
For example, one kitten may be especially calm and deeply bonded to people — perfect for a quieter household — while another kitten may be more playful and energetic, thriving in a home with children or other pets.
Even within the same litter, personalities can develop very differently. By observing these traits early, we are able to guide families toward the kitten whose temperament best fits their home.
At Shades of Sapphire Ragdolls, we believe the right kitten is not simply chosen — it is thoughtfully matched.
