Start Your Adoption Journey
Beginning the adoption process is an important step, and we believe it should feel clear, supportive, and unrushed. Our goal is to get to know each family, understand what you’re hoping for, and determine whether our program is the right fit for you.
What Starting the Journey Means
Starting your adoption journey does not mean committing to a specific kitten or rushing into a decision. Instead, it opens a conversation and allows us to learn more about you, your home, and the type of companion you’re hoping to welcome.
We take a thoughtful, relationship-first approach because successful placements are built on understanding, timing, and mutual trust.
The early part of the adoption journey is intentionally simple and informative.
You’ll share a bit about yourself, your household, and your experience with pets
You’ll learn more about how our matching process works and what makes our program unique
Together, we’ll determine whether moving forward makes sense at that time
There is no pressure to proceed until everyone feels comfortable and aligned.
Thoughtful Matching, Not First Pick
Our program does not operate on a “first pick” basis. Instead, kittens are placed based on temperament, household compatibility, and long-term success.
This approach allows us to advocate for our kittens while helping families find the right fit—not just the next available kitten.
What Happens Next
If we feel our program may be a good match, we continue the conversation with more detailed discussions. This often includes a phone call, ongoing communication, and guidance as timing and availability develop.
Every adoption journey moves at its own pace, and we believe that patience leads to the best outcomes for everyone involved.
A Supportive, Ongoing Relationship
Our role does not end once a kitten goes home. We remain available to our families for guidance, questions, and support before and after Gotcha Day.
Building lasting relationships with our adoptive families is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do.
Final note
Starting the adoption journey is simply the first step toward learning more. We encourage families to move forward only when they feel informed, confident, and ready.
