About the Ragdoll & Cherubim Breeds

At AAA CLASS ACT – Shades of Sapphire Ragdolls, our passion is raising two of the most loving, family-friendly cat breeds in the world: the Ragdoll and the Cherubim Ragdoll.

Both breeds share the same gentle, affectionate nature that makes them incredible companions. The differences are in their appearance and recognition — but in personality, they’re equally sweet, loyal, and playful.

The Ragdoll – The Puppy-Like Cat Breed

The Ragdoll cat is known for its calm, floppy, and affectionate personality. Many Ragdolls go completely limp when held and form deep bonds with their families, often following their people from room to room and enjoying daily companionship.

With striking blue eyes and a silky, semi-long coat, the Ragdoll cat breed is recognized in traditional patterns such as Color point, Mitted, and Bicolor. Families love Ragdolls for their gentle, easygoing nature and loyal temperament, making them an excellent choice for children, first-time cat owners and multi-pet homes.

The Cherubim – The Teddy Bear Cat Breed

The Cherubim cat is equally gentle and affectionate, often a bit more playful, and well known for their cuddly, teddy-bear temperament. With plush, soft coats and a wider variety of looks than the traditional Ragdoll, Cherubim cats can have any eye color—including blue, green, gold, or odd-eyed—and come in traditional patterns as well as mink, sepia, and solid colors. Families love Cherubim cats for their variety of colors and eye shades, combined with the same sweet, people-oriented personality that makes Ragdolls so beloved.

The Cherubim Ragdoll is considered a developing breed and is recognized by TICA, sharing the same strong foundation and temperament standards as the traditional Ragdoll. While appearance and color recognition differ, Cherubim cats are bred with the same focus on health, temperament, and family compatibility. Their playful yet gentle nature makes them a wonderful fit for households seeking a loving companion with a bit more visual variety, while still enjoying the calm, affectionate personality Ragdoll-type cats are known for.
